The Denver Broncos were listed as an AFC contender when they signed Russell Wilson in the offseason.
Now, here we are just six weeks into the season, and they have a 2-4 record and most fans are writing them off.
If they want to get back into the mix of things, they need to start winning sooner rather than later. They have a chance to get back in the win column on Sunday when they take on the Jets, who have got off to a surprising 4-2 start.
Let's take a look at the latest odds.
Jets vs. Broncos Odds, Spread, and Total
Jets vs. Broncos Odds, Spread, and Total Movement
The Broncos opened as 3.5-point favorites, and the line has moved 2.5-points down to -1. The total has also dropped, moving from 42.5 down to 38.5, a move of a whopping four points.
Jets vs. Broncos Prediction and Pick
It continues to be the obvious bet in Broncos games, but I think it will continue to be the right bet. Wager on the UNDER in this AFC matchup.
The Broncos are one of the best defenses in the NFL, ranking second in opponent yards per play, and first in red zone offense.
Not only that, but the Jets defense has been far superior to their offense as well. New York ranks seventh in opponent yards per play.
One of my favorite reasons I like this bet, is the two offenses rank 27th and 30th in third down conversion rate. If your offense can't stay on the field and convert third downs to first downs, you're going to have trouble scoring touchdowns and contributing to a high total.
Take the UNDER in this one.
