There’s a chance that both the NLCS and ALCS come to a close on Sunday, as the Houston Astros are up 3-0 on the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies have a 3-1 lead on the San Diego Padres.

With that in mind, BetSided’s Peter Dewey and Iain MacMillan are making it simple tonight. Iain’s picking the winner in NLCS Game 5, while Peter has the winner in ALCS Game 4.

Nothing easier than a moneyline bet (as long as it hits).

Here’s who they think will win Sunday’s action in the MLB playoffs:

San Diego Padres vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction and Best Bet

  • Pick: Phillies Moneyline (-139)

I've rode the Philadelphia Phillies through the MLB postseason, and I see no reason to stop now.

Zack Wheeler has been dominant in the postseason, recording a 1.40 ERA in three starts. He has not allowed a run in two of his three starts.

Meanwhile, the Phillies offense has been red-hot. They're second in Major League Baseball in OPS these playoffs at .743. Only the Toronto Blue Jays, who played just two games, have a better OPS. The Padres' postseason OPS doesn't match up, sitting at a mark of .667.

Finally, I'll continue to fade Yu Darvish in the playoffs, who has struggled in the postseason throughout his career. He enters today's game with a 4.33 postseason ERA.

Give me the Phillies to cash their ticket to the World Series. – Iain MacMillan

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees Prediction and Best Bet

  • Pick: Astros Moneyline (+104)

Houston dominated the New York Yankees in Game 3 of the ALCS at Yankee Stadium, winning 5-0 and holding New York to just three hits. New York’s offense has been nowhere to be found in this series.

So how in the world are the Yankees favored in Game 4?

This team simply can’t hit, failing to register more than six hits in a game all postseason.

Now, the Astros send yet another solid arm to the mound in Lance McCullers, with the No. 1 bullpen in baseball backing him up. Houston hasn’t lit the world on fire with its offense in this series (12 runs in three games), but it’s come up with timely hits to down the Yanks again and again.

Nestor Cortes looked much better in his second start of the postseason than his first, but the Astros scored three runs in five innings in his lone start against them in the regular season.

As boring as a sweep would be in this series, getting the Astros as underdogs seems like a gift in Game 4. I won’t pass it up. – Peter Dewey
