The crew is looking for a strong bounce back day, as we went 1-3 last night. We hit the UNDER on Cole Ragans' strikeout prop. Other than that, it was a forgettable night.

Today, however, is a great day. The full team is back on for the first time in a long time, and we're ready to turn into the Fab 5 for the day. It's a simple day for us. We have five picks and they're all strikeout props.

Don’t forget, you can always find game-by-game betting plays and previews for each matchup on our MLB Picks page, as well as every team’s list of probable pitchers, weather forecasts, and more.

Corey Kluber OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+110) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. Los Angeles Angels

Kluber has been in good form of late, he has pitched at least five innings in his last eight starts and gets a favorable draw against the hapless Angels lineup.

The Halos may have Mike Trout back from injury, but the team has the second highest strikeout rate in baseball over the past month.

At + money I’m interested in backing Kluber who has proven he can go deep into games and has been a positive regression candidate with a FIP more than one run lower than his ERA. – Reed Wallach

Jonathan Heasley UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (-115) - Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Kansas City Royals

I’m going back to old faithful. Take the UNDER strikeout total on a pitcher when they face the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Yes, the Diamondbacks are far away from being a playoff team, but they’re one of the best MLB teams in one specific area; avoiding strikeouts.

Dating back to July 1st, they ranked second in the Majors in strikeout rate, striking out on only 18.6% of their plate appearances.

Tonight, they face Jonathan Heasley of the Kansas City Royals. Heasley has failed to surpass this number in four of his last five starts, and I’ll bet on him to fail to surpass it again tonight. - Iain MacMillan

Mike Clevinger OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-135) - Cleveland Guardians at San Diego Padres

Clevinger’s hit a bit of a rough patch; failing to clear this total in three straight games, and now faces the toughest team in the Majors to punch out in Cleveland.

However, there’s been a theme in all three of his previous starts: lack of control on the road.

In 14 innings, Clevinger has a K/9 of 4.50 and a BB/9 of 5.79. In general, away from home, Clevinger’s strikeout total is just 7.28 per nine innings.

At home, however, that number ticks up nearly two full strikeouts to 9.22; striking out just under 24% of hitters.

He’s already passed this number in his previous start this year vs. Cleveland in his first game back from an April knee injury. Now that he’s back home, 3.5 is a number he can easily pass, even against a tough out in the Guardians. Ben Heisler

Frankie Montas UNDER 16.5 Outs Recorded (-115) – New York Mets vs. New York Yankees

Fade, fade, fade Frankie Montas on Tuesday against the New York Mets, as he’s struggled mightily all season away from Oakland.

That’s why the New York Yankees’ decision to acquire Montas for such a huge package at the trade deadline is extremely questionable, considering Yankee Stadium is a hitter’s ballpark.

In Oakland this season, Montas had a 2.86 ERA in 12 starts. At other ballparks? Well, his ERA rises to 6.34. Yikes.

The Yankees are just 6-14 in August, and they can’t afford to let Tuesday’s game against the Mets get away from them. Montas has pitched three, five and six innings in his first three starts as a Yankee, and I think he’s going to have a tough time getting past the fifth if he struggles again tonight. – Peter Dewey

Carlos Rodon OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (-134) – San Francisco Giants vs. Detroit Tigers

Rodon has hit this line in three of his last five starts, missing it by one strikeout in one of the losses. We know exactly who Rodon is. He’s one of the best strikeout pitchers in the game, and he has a great matchup tonight.

The Tigers are 22nd in MLB in strikeouts per game and 27th in strikeout percentage. As long as Rodon has a normal day on the mound – in terms of length – then I don’t see much reason to fade him against the Tigers today. – Donnavan Smoot
