The MLS playoff kicked off this weekend and we are down to the last two matches of the first round. Tonight, Nashville SC hosts Orlando City and will try to move on to the conference semifinals.

Nashville finished the season third in the Eastern Conference, tying with the Philadelphia Union at 54 points. Orlando City grabbed the No. 6 seed after finishing with 51 points. These two teams played close all season and now have all the chips on the table to play for.

Who will move on to the next round?

Here are the odds for the matchup courtesy of WynnBET

Nashville SC vs. Orlando City Odds and Over/Under

3-Way Moneyline:

  • Nashville SC: -115
  • Orlando City: +270
  • Draw: +237

Over/Under: 2.5 (Over: +135/Under: -175)

Nashville SC vs. Orlando City Prediction and Pick

Neither of these teams have an extensive playoff background, with just two appearances combined between the teams. All three of their regular season matches ended in a draw, making this one of the more even playoff matchups.

With both of those crucial factors basically the same, I’m going to back Nashville at home. Although these teams are separated by three points, they are in much different classes. Nashville has a goal differential of +22, while Orlando finished with a +2 differential. Orlando City hasn’t been dominant in the same way Nashville has. Now that City will be on the road, I can’t trust them to get the job done.

PICK: Nashville SC ML (-115)
