Get ready for an NFL week unlike any we've seen in quite some time.

Following Week 15's culmination with the L.A. Rams and Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football, Week 16 begins with another noteworthy matchup between two teams fighting for their playoff lives on Thursday evening.

The Jacksonville Jaguars as 4.5-point home dogs walked off the Dallas Cowboys in an absolute stunner; rallying to force overtime, followed by a pick-six off Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to steal a 40-34 victory.

Now, Jacksonville heads back on the road to face a New York Jets team that couldn't hold off Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions in the final two minutes, falling at home 20-17 and putting their playoff hopes in serious jeopardy.

Similar to last week's Jets game, oddsmakers are in limbo on where to place the line for Thursday night's primetime matchup.

On Saturday, it's a full NFL slate with Christmas falling on a Sunday this year. 11 games are in action, with only two games scheduled in the late afternoon slate, but that matchup is the biggest of the week as the Philadelphia Eagles head to Dallas to face the Cowboys.

With Dallas losing to Jacksonville, the Eagles can clinch the NFC East division with a victory, but even in a loss, they'd still hold a two-game lead over their bitter rivals. Given that the circumstances are far greater for the Cowboys, Vegas has them as a short home favorite to start the week with a total ranging from 50.5 to 51.5.

On Christmas Day, the NFL features three different stand-alone matchups to take in, ironically with all three games taking place in warm weather climates. The Miami Dolphins host the Green Bay Packers at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the L.A. Rams welcoming the Denver Broncos at 4:30 p.m. ET, and the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Throughout the week, BetSided's team of editors and writers will have expert insights, previews, predictions, and of course betting picks for every game on the calendar.
