Back in Week 2, our weekly NFL trends article for every team mentioned how Thursday Night Football games with totals at 54 or above had all hit the under over the previous decade with the exception of two teams: The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers.

In both their matchups, those two teams hit the over on Thursday night in 2018 and 2021. In 2022, the larger sample won out, with K.C and L.A hitting a total of 51 in the Chiefs' home victory.

As we now head into Week 3, those same Kansas City Chiefs hold another unique trend ahead of their matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.

Via longtime ESPN anchor Trey Wingo, now with Caesars Sportsbook, Patrick Mahomes is 13-0 in his brilliant career when the Chiefs are favored on the road. He also has 17 touchdowns to just two interceptions in seven games vs. Colts'' defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. Yet despite all this, after the line jumped all the way up to 7 at some books, the line has moved favorably in the direction of Indianapolis back to 5.5.

One other noteworthy trend for this week? How about the New York Giants, where the under is a stunning 12-0-1 in their last 13 games at home. They'll host the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football this week, looking to go to 3-0 on the season.

Remember, trends should be used as a guide in navigating the different available betting options on the board. They help to provide perspective and insight, rather than an end-all-be-all decision maker.

Here are the latest odds for every Week 3 NFL matchup, along with multiple betting trends for each team as well as their opponent.
