The Toronto Raptors are 2-3 on the year, but have continued to grow over the past week with an evolving roster that lost Kyle Lowry in free agency and is without Pascal Siakam for the time being.

They have an opportunity to get to .500 against the Orlando Magic, who are 1-4 to start the year.

How should we bet this Eastern Conference matchup? First, let's take a look at the odds, from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Magic vs. Raptors Pick and Prediction

In 2021, I'm taking an under that is set at 209.

While part of me wants to say that this will be a breakout offensive game for the Raptors, I can't get there. Both teams are bottom five in pace, per NBA.com, so the possessions will be limited. Orlando and Toronto both struggle on offense as well, with each team in the bottom third in effective field goal percentage.

While the Raps have struggled to score, they have a host of strong defenders including OG Anunoby and rookie Scottie Barnes. Their defensive presence is their calling card for the year. Toronto has done a great job of that this year, ranking top five in defensive rating. They have the length to challenge Orlando defenders, but I don't think we are going to see Toronto's offense feast against a poor Magic defense.

The team lacks a go-to scoring threat out of Fred Van Vleet, and I expect their suffocating defense -- top five in defensive rating -- to lock down Orlando in a low scoring victory.

It's not pretty, but the under is the right side.
