The Houston Astros are one win away from a World Series title. They went into Philadelphia, won two games there and stole homefield advantage back. Now, they just have to win one game at home to be champions, but will the “team of destiny” Phillies be too much to handle?

Philadelphia already won a game in Houston this series. The Phillies are putting Zach Wheeler on the mound in Game 6, who is looking for a bounce back start.

Can Philly extend this series, or will they fly back home ringless?

Phillies vs. Astros Prediction and Pick

Even though the roof will be open, the Astros are back home in the confines of Minute Maid Park. They’ll face off against Zach Wheeler, who they had a field day against in Game 2. Houston had 6 hits for 5 runs and a home run in 5.0 innings against Wheeler. Now, they get to face him again and I like their chances for success.

Outside of Game 3, Houston’s offense has been able to generate runs fairly consistently. I don’t think the Astros have had as much of an issue with the Phillies’ staff as the series score may indicate, which is why I think they will be hoisting a trophy at the end of night.

Furthermore, Framber Valdez is on the mound, which gives me confidence in the Astros. Valdez had a strong outing his last time out, striking out 9 and only allowing one hit. If he can be anywhere near that level of dominant, back Houston.
