Pistons vs. Bucks Prediction and Odds: Milwaukee In Championship Form After Slow Start

The Bucks are back and playing like the team that won it all last season. Tonight they have an easy matchup against a bad Pistons team.

The defending champion Milwaukee Bucks have turned it on after a worryingly slow start to the season. The Bucks are riding a four-game win streak after losing four of their first seven games of the season. The run brings their season record to 10-8.

Tonight the Bucks host the Detroit Pistons at the Fiserv. Forum Arena in a game that should be Milwaukee’s fifth win on the trot. With Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday back to playing high-quality basketball, the Bucks are again looking like a championship contender. The Bucks are coming off a dominant 123-92 win over the Magic and seven players scored in double digits.

The Pistons, on the other hand, are struggling mightily and are currently 14th in the Eastern Conference with a 4-13 overall record. The team has talent, but they are young and lack the experience needed to gel this early on into playing together. This has led to the Pistons playing well but being unable to put teams away.

Pistons vs. Bucks Prediction and Pick

The spread for this game is higher than I would normally like when siding with a favorite but the Bucks smoked the Pistons last time they played. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 28-points, nine assists, and eight rebounds and led his team to a 28-point victory. Needless to say, the Bucks covered that game easily.

The Pistons have so many issues right now it's hard to cover them all in this preview. Not only are they struggling to break 100 points and only shooting 41% from the floor, but they also are a terrible rebounding team. The Bucks average 47.0 rebounds per game, but over the last three have upped that number to 65.0  The way they are attacking the glass leaves little hope that the Pistons can avoid another blowout tonight.

Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -14.5 (-110)
