The Denver Nuggets have won six of their last nine games and will likely continue to play short-handed until their top players clear the health and safety protocol. Tonight, they’ll be at home against the Detroit Pistons, who are the worst team in the league.

Still, the oddsmakers have the Nuggets as legitimate favorites. Should we trust the depleted Nuggets tonight against a depleted Pistons team?

Pistons vs. Nuggets Prediction and Pick

The Nuggets have just been okay when it comes to covering as home favorites. They are 3-2 ATS in that spot, which isn’t the best number you’d want to see. Now that the Nuggets are down their top three players, this is one of the best chances to back the Pistons.

Denver will likely be without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon and Jeff Green. That is a majority of its offense and a majority of its defense. Bones Hyland may also be out of the lineup due to a sore left hip.

With all these injuries, there’s just no way I can back the Nuggets to win with margin tonight.

It’s rare we can back Detroit, so let’s do it tonight.
