Reds vs. Giants Prediction and Pick for Saturday, June 25 (Bet on San Francisco to Steamroll Struggling Reds)
By Matt De Saro
The Cincinnati Reds were able to put the skids on a seven-game losing streak last night with a 4-2 win over the San Francisco Giants. It was an embarrassing loss for San Francisco, who now find themselves 6.5 games back from the Dodgers for the lead in the NL West.
The Reds, meanwhile, well we all know what this team is all about. They are potentially one of the worst teams to ever take the field and won’t have much help tonight on the mound. Can the Reds pull off back to back upsets or will the Giants get some quick revenge?

Reds vs. Giants Prediction and Pick
Another week and another start for the Reds’ Mike Minor. A.K.A., another game to fade the worst pitcher on baseball’s worst team. Minor enters this mismatch with a 6.97 ERA and 1.50 WHIP in 20 ⅔ innings of work this year. Technically he is lowering his ERA game over game, but it started at 11.25 and that is not a high mark to beat. On Sunday against the Brewers, Minor gave up four earned runs off six hits over six innings. He struck out four, walked three, and now has a poor 17:8 K:BB.
While Minor is struggling in Cincinnati, Logan Webb has been busy mowing down opponents left and right in San Francisco. The guy hasn’t lost a game since April 19 and boasts a 6-2 record with a 3.26 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. Webb was magic in his last start where he allowed just one run against the Atlanta Braves over seven strong innings. He struck out seven and didn’t walk a single batter. With an ERA of 2.59 in June, it’s safe to say Webb is locked in right now.
The Reds have nothing going for them right now and are now facing down the barrel of one of the best teams in the National League. With Minor on the mound, they have even less of a chance than usual of pulling off an upset here. Don’t let last night fool you. The Reds are awful and should regress back to their natural state tonight.
Pick: Giants -1.5 (-105)
