Rockies vs. Twins Prediction and Pick for Saturday, June 25 (Trust Chris Archer to Lead Twins to Bounce-Back Win)
By Matt De Saro
The Minnesota Twins finally ceded the top spot in the AL Central yesterday after the Cleveland Guardians pulled even atop the division. It was only a matter of time after the Twins' hot start fizzled out. The Twins enter this game on a 4-6 run in their last 10 games with series losses to the Diamondbacks and Guardians in the last week.
Minnesota came out in Game 1 of this series and got shut out by the Rockies. While I don’t foresee that happening again today, it’s clear to me that these two division rivals are heading in opposite directions.

Rockies vs. Twins Prediction and Pick
While the Twins are spiraling a bit right now, they can at least expect a strong start from Chris Archer in this game. Archer has been better than expected this year and enters with a decent 3.44 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. As the summer heats up, so has Archer. His ERA in June is 2.00 and the Twins are 2-1 in his last three games. Archer also has had some success against the current Rockies lineup with a .208 batting average against them. He's coming off a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks last week and would love to see a bounce-back game today.
Meanwhile, the Rockies are having all types of problems and remain in last place in the NL West. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games and remain 14 games behind the Dodgers for the division lead. A big part of this problem has been Antonio Senzatela and his ghastly 1.75 WHIP. While he was phenomenal last week against San Diego, this has been a down year for Marques on a whole. Still, this Rockies team is pretty poor and I need to see more than just one good game from Marquez to trust him.
Pick: Twins -1.5 (+105)
