The Minnesota Timberwolves burned me last night, going on a late run to beat the Sacramento Kings for their fifth win of the season.

It was only the second time all year the Wolves covered the spread as a favorite, but they will get another chance tonight when they host the 4-10 San Antonio Spurs

Here are the odds for this matchup via WynnBET:

Spurs vs. Timberwolves Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Spurs +2.0 (-110)
  • Timberwolves -2.0 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Spurs: +110
  • Timberwolves: -130

Total:

  • 220.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Spurs vs. Timberwolves Prediction and Pick

I’m not sure if it is the new changes to officiating and foul class, but unders have been extremely profitable in the NBA this season, hitting at a 61 percent clip.

I say this because even with their win on Wednesday, the Wolves are 26th in the NBA in offensive rating and they’re facing a Spurs team that is 21st in the same statistic. Minnesota has actually been solid on defense (13th in defensive rating) and San Antonio is right behind at No. 14.

Both teams are top 10 in the NBA in pace, but the Kings and Wolves were as well and ended up hitting the under in last night’s game. The under is 10-4 in the Timberwolves’ games this season, and with this being the second game of a back-to-back, I could see them playing a little more sluggish tonight.

Pick: Spurs-Timberwolves UNDER 220.5 (-110)
