The Detroit Tigers have won back-to-back games against the struggling Arizona Diamondbacks heading into Sunday’s series finale.

Arizona's dropped five games in a row, and is in danger of falling into last place in the NL West today. The Diamondbacks are also starting Dallas Keuchel, who was released by the Chicago White Sox last month after a brutal start to the season.

He goes against Tigers’ youngster Beau Brieske (1-6, 4.07 ERA). Brieske has been a bit unlucky lately, allowing just 12 runs over his last six starts but earning just one win.

Here are the odds via WynnBET for this Sunday afternoon matchup:

Tigers vs. Diamondbacks Odds, Run Line and Total

Run Line:

  • Tigers +1.5 (-185)
  • Diamondbacks -1.5 (+152)

Moneyline:

  • Tigers: +104
  • Diamondbacks: -114

Total:

  • 9 (Over -110/Under -110)

Tigers vs. Diamondbacks Prediction and Pick

The Diamondbacks have lost five straight and are starting Dallas Keuchel in his first MLB game in a month and are… favorites?

Count me out.

The Tigers have been anything but a good baseball team this season, but they are much better against lefties (.685 OPS) than righties (.586 OPS, worst in the league).

Keuchel got rocked earlier this season, and I don’t see things just turning around with a new team. Plus, Arizona has scored four or fewer runs in six of its last seven games and five straight.

I don’t love back Brieske given his poor record this season, but I don’t see another choice, especially since you’re getting Detroit at plus money.

Lean: Tigers ML (+104)
