Well, I guess it was inevitable that I would have to write about my Portland Trail Blazers at some point. I don’t want to. They make me sad and angry and everything hurts, and Damian Lillard being out is just adding insult to injury..

Let’s start with the odds via WynnBET.

Trail Blazers vs. Bulls  Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Trail Blazers +5  (-110)
  • Bulls -5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Trail Blazers +180
  • Bulls -220

Total:

  • 230.0 (Over -110 | Under -110)

Trail Blazers vs. Bulls Prediction and Pick

Remember when the Trail Blazers were good and in the NBA Western Conference Finals only a couple years ago? That was cool. They were an explosive offense that was at least somewhat decent on defense. Now they’re horrible and injured, and the organization not going all in at any point in the last few years to attempt to surround Lillard with the talent he needs to bring a championship to PDX for the first time since 1977 is unacceptable.

I digress. This isn’t about the failings of the organization or me lamenting the inevitable end of the Lillard era in Portland, it’s about whether or not the Blazers have any chance on the road in Chicago tonight.

Honestly, it looks like they do. In their last 10 games, the Blazers have the second-highest three-point percentage in the league at 37.6%. Jusuf Nurkic has been playing at a very high level, including a 25-point, 13 rebound performance on Friday. C.J. McCollum is stepping up as the leader on the team, and young Anfernee Simons has taken the jump into a bonafide starter and scorer in the league.

The Blazers have won six of their last 10, and are 5-2 against the spread away from home in their last 10 games. Chicago is in a bit of a tailspin, dropping seven of their last 10, while only going 4-5-1 against the spread in that time.

If I were to say to bet the Trail Blazers moneyline, would you call me a homer? Fine, I’ll just suggest that they can cover instead.

Pick: Trail Blazers +5 (-110)
