WynnBET has released the odds for NBA Finals MVP ahead of the opening day of the playoffs, and I wholeheartedly disagree with who is at the top of the list.

The No. 1 player on the odds standings is Devin Booker, who is +475 to win the award. While Booker is a great player, he shouldn’t be the top player on the list. That honor should go to Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo is the best player in the world, impacts the floor on both ends of the floor and won the award last year. I understand that Booker is on the Suns – the favorite to win it all – but Antetokounmpo and the Bucks rattled off four straight wins against them in last year's NBA Finals and didn’t need a Game 7 to do it.

Even with the Suns as the favorite to win it all, the Bucks are the favorites to make the Finals out of the Eastern Conference. They are expected to have a rematch with the Suns, and I don't think anyone would take Booker over Antetokounmpo.

When the Suns were up 2-0 in last year’s Finals, Booker wasn’t the driving force or the favorite for Finals MVP. That was Chris Paul. Booker has to compete with his own teammate for Finals MVP, which takes away from his value immediately.

I don’t want to act like the Greek Freak is being absolutely disrespected because he’s still second on the list. However, he should be the favorite, because every basketball reason for him being the favorite goes in his favor.

At +500, now is the time for you to take Antetokounmpo to win Finals MVP. His odds are only going to get shorter as the Bucks move through the playoffs. I have the Bucks winning the Finals and fully expect him to get his second straight Finals MVP.
