Vikings vs. Lions Prediction: I'll Never Stop Fading the Minnesota Vikings

Let’s cut straight to the point. The 10-2 Minnesota Vikings are underdogs to the 5-7 Detroit Lions because the stats don’t love them and the sharps hate them, but Minnesota just keeps winning. Last week, they survived a late onslaught from Mike White and the Jets to win 27-22, but elsewhere, the Lions cruised to a 40-14 win over Jacksonville. The Vikings can clinch the division with a win this week.

I told you about it, so let’s get to the odds for this one, and I'll tell you how I’m betting this game in the AFC North.

Minnesota opened as 2 point favorites, but are now 2-point underdogs in Detroit.

Vikings vs. Lions Prediction and Pick

The Vikings aren’t just a fraudulent 10-2 team, they’re probably the most fraudulent 10-2 of all time.

Last week, they had no business beating the Jets who outgained them 486-287, but the Vikings survived another week. This team has the worst pass defense in the entire NFL, allowing 283.6 pass yards a game. In terms of total defense, they’re second worst in the NFL to only the Detroit Lions. That means that the over will be a good play in this game. The Lions offense has been very good and has momentum after their 40 point outing last week. They aren’t just doing it on the ground either, last week Jared Goff threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns.

I like the Lions better than the Vikings this week and this season. I really do not believe in Minnesota, but I’ve been burned by them all season. Eventually, they’ll start losing some of these games and I know that I’ll be there when they do. I can’t give up now, give the Lions! Oh and the over is a great bet too.
