The Golden State Warriors picked up their first road win of the 2022-23 season on Sunday night against the Houston Rockets behind a monster game from Klay Thompson (41 points, 10-for-13 from 3).

Thompson looks to be getting back to his old self the last few games, and he and Steph Curry combined for 74 points in the win over Houston.

Now, the Warriors stay on the road for the second night of a back-to-back against the New Orleans Pelicans, who are supposed to get Zion Williamson (probable) back in the lineup.

There’s a chance Golden State could rest Thompson, Curry, Draymond Green or other vets in this game, so that has to be factored in before betting this matchup.

Warriors vs. Pelicans Prediction and Pick

The Warriors are playing much better on offense lately, moving to 10th in the league in offensive rating.

That could make for a high-scoring matchup on Monday, as New Orleans (sixth in offensive rating) has a very dynamic attack when Zion and Brandon Ingram are both healthy.

The Warriors play at the fastest pace in the NBA, and their defensive rating on the road is one of the worst in the league this season.

A ton of possessions for two top offenses and one poor defense? The recipe for an OVER doesn’t come much easier than that.

Golden State has cleared 232 points in three of its last five games, scoring at least 111 points in each matchup. With the injury report still up in the air, I’ll lean OVER here.
