Despite winning seven of their last 10 games, the Chicago White Sox are still 4.5 games out of the AL Central lead with the Cleveland Guardians on an all-time heater, winning nine of their last 10.

Chicago has an easy series finale on Sunday, taking on the already-eliminated Detroit Tigers at 12:10 p.m. EST.

Johnny Cueto (7-8, 3.09 ERA) is looking to continue his resurgent season for the Sox against youngster Drew Hutchinson (2-8, 4.24 ERA).

Here are the odds from FanDuel for this matchup:

White Sox vs. Tigers Prediction and Pick

The White Sox have gone just 10-12 in Cueto’s outings this season, which is surprising since he’s allowed three or fewer earned runs in 19 of his 22 games.

That being said, Cueto has cooled off in his last four starts, allowing seven runs back on Aug. 26 against the Arizona Diamondbacks and five runs in his last outing against the Oakland Athletics.

Hutchinson hasn’t been great either, posting a 5.40 ERA this month (three starts) while giving up 20 hits and four homers in just 15.0 innings pitched.

I still give Cueto the edge for his full body of work this season, and the White Sox offense (fourth in runs over the last 15 days) is the far superior unit here. Detroit ranks 25th in OPS over the last 15 days and dead last in runs scored this season.

Give me the White Sox as favorites in this series finale.
