Yankees vs. Twins Prediction and Odds for Tuesday, June 7 (Yankees Crush Behind Steady Taillon)
By Joe Summers
The 32-24 Minnesota Twins host the 39-15 New York Yankees tonight at 7:40 p.m. EST in the first contest of a three-game series.
New York has won six straight and will start Jameson Taillon, whose thrown a quality start in each of his last three outings. Taillon has allowed only four hits and one run in his last two starts, spanning sixteen innings.
Bailey Ober gets the call for Minnesota after allowing five runs in a loss to the Detroit Tigers last week. Ober has a 4.86 ERA at home and hasn't taken the step forward the Twins organization hoped he would coming into the season.
Can he start to turn things around against the dangerous New York lineup or will the Yankees keep rolling behind Taillon?

Yankees vs Twins Prediction and Pick
This is a gigantic pitching mismatch. Jameson Taillon has been remarkable, totaling 23 innings in his last three starts while allowing only two runs and issuing just one walk. He's walked five batters all season, which is truly incredible, and shoud continue his hot streak against the Twins.
Bailey Ober's expected ERA (4.85) is among the worst in MLB and he's in the 18th percentile in expected batting average. In his last two starts, Ober gave up eight runs in nine innings to the Royals and Tigers. Those are two of the worst lineups in the sport (though Kansas City is improving) and now Ober has to slow down a monstrous Yankees offense that ranks third in OPS against right-handed pitchers in the last two weeks.
Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Anthony Rizzo and company should have a field day against Ober. If Detroit is scoring on you, then you have a serious problem.
Minnesota's bullpen has been shaky in recent weeks as well, and they're one of the worst defensive teams in the American League. I am not buying Twins stock and think they're lucky to lead the AL Central. As it stands, Minnesota has one of the worst rotations in all of baseball and we'll see that on full effect in this opening game of the series.
Roll with the Yankees to improve to 37-14 as a favorite in convincing fashion as Taillon's dominant stretch continues.
Pick: Yankees -1.5
