Regé-Jean Page starred in one of the hottest (pun intended) Netflix shows this year. Technically, Bridgerton dropped on December 25, 2020, but the passion it sparked (pun intended, again) carried well into 2021. Page's steamy character became an instant cult classic and made everyone suddenly realize why those cheesy romantic novels are so popular.

Why we needed this fandom this year
2020 was a difficult year for everyone, so when Bridgerton came out it was an easy, fun, and spicy escape from the humdrum of working from home and Zoom meetings. We could turn off the lights, grab a glass of wine, and binge-watch endless hours of Page shirtless as all our worries were washed away.
What we’ll remember about this fandom a decade from now
No matter what roles Regé-Jean Page plays from here on out (James Bond maybe?), he'll always live in the hearts of romance fans as Simon Basset, the irresistible Duke of Hastings.
