When Netflix canceled its entire Marvel slate, it looked like we had seen the last of the Devil of Hell's Kitchen -- or at least the last of Charlie Cox in the role of Daredevil. Due to the complicated nature of Netflix's contracts, Marvel would have to jump through countless hoops if they ever wanted to bring Cox back into the fold to reprise the role. Even Cox had given up hope that Marvel would ever come calling again but the SaveDaredevil campaign efforts never wavered, and when Marvel came calling, Cox happily answered the call. In late 2021, Cox made his first appearance in an MCU film via a cameo as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Little did fans know that was only the beginning. Cox nearly broke the internet this summer when he took to the Hall H stage at San Diego Comic-Con to help announce a brand new Daredevil series coming to Disney Plus. While Daredevil: Born Again might not arrive until 2024, Cox has been keeping busy and giving Marvel fans plenty to talk about. From the moment it was announced Cox would appear in She-Hulk, fans' anticipation reached a new high and that anticipation just kept growing as the weeks went by. In episode 8, Cox not only returned as Matt Murdock but finally suited back up as his crime-fighting counterpart to bring Daredevil officially back into the MCU with a stunning new suit. Seeing Cox back as Daredevil was a dream come true and was the ultimate payoff for the fans who had been fighting for years to bring him back into the MCU. Cox could have easily abandoned the character when Netflix tossed him to the side. Instead, he gave the fans what they had been fighting for and is now poised to be a game-changer in the next chapter of the MCU. What is it, to be a hero? Charlie Cox, look in the mirror and you'll know.
