Even though Dynasty was canceled by The CW in 2022 (along with eight other shows on the network), the series continued to show off its underdog spirit. No one expected the reboot to last past one season based on its ratings, but over 100 episodes later, it's getting the last laugh to the bitter end of the Carrington's power struggle.

What we’ll remember about this fandom a decade from now
During its run on The CW, the Dynasty reboot wasn’t a knockout ratings performer. It wasn’t the watercooler show in the same vein as its predecessor, but what it lacked in mainstream buzz, it made up for in a passionate fandom around the world. A decade from now, we’ll look back on Dynasty for what it was: An underrated slice of primetime soaps past with a sense of humor and international fanbase any television series would kill for.
What emotion defined this fandom this year?
To be a fan of a show hailing from The CW in 2022 was to be blindsided. But the overwhelming emotion surrounding Dynasty was that of triumph. No one thought the reboot would last past its first season, but over 100 episodes later, Dynasty proved everyone wrong. Combined with its enviable Netflix viewership, that’s something the cast, crew, and fans should all be proud of.
