This September, the sequel of the cult movie Hocus Pocus (released in 1993) finally happened! The original movie definitely put a spell on fans and there has been an eager anticipation ever since then for a sequel which FINALLY came out 29 years later. The original film is a Halloween tradition for me to watch and I'm excited that I get to add this new one to the mix as well.

What we’ll remember about this fandom a decade from now
A witch traveling by Roomba? But seriously the excitement that this movie was finally coming out was unparalleled. People planned it out months ahead of time to celebrate and watch it with friends on release day. That kind of closeness and togetherness is exactly what we needed and what we'll remember.
What emotion defined this fandom this year?
Nostalgia all the way! We all grew up with the original Hocus Pocus and it's been ingrained in our lives as a movie to watch every Halloween season. Hocus Pocus 2 gave us the nostalgic vibes but with a fun modern twist on the characters. Hooray!
