In 2022, Mandy Moore completed an incredible run in the NBC drama series This Is Us. For six seasons, she played matriarch Rebecca Pearson, spanning nearly 50 years of her life. Moore delivered her strongest, most heartbreaking performance as Rebecca in the final season as the character passed away and reunited with her first husband, Jack. In addition to the end of a beloved series, Moore also released a critically acclaimed new album, In Real Life, and returned to touring. This year, she welcomed her second child with husband Taylor Goldsmith.

Best fan moment of the year
As a fan of Mandy Moore in 2022, it was amazing to sit back and watch her absolutely thrive professionally and personally. From completing an unbelievable six-season run on This Is Us to releasing her seven studio album In Real Life, Moore has been at the top of her game. She even embarked on her first tour in over a decade, though it was cut short by her second pregnancy. Seeing someone close one chapter while growing their family and having a world of opportunity open for their next chapter might be the most special thing a fan can witness.
Why you should join this fandom
Mandy Moore might have picked up millions of new fans thanks to her stunning, decades-spanning portrayal of Rebecca Pearson on This Is Us, but some of us have been stanning since 1999 when she released her first single “Candy.” Over the years, her artistry as both an Emmy-nominated actor and critically acclaimed musician has beautifully evolved, and it’s a joy to watch, listen to, and support someone so humble and, above all else, talented.
