Philadelphia Eagles

SEE ALL Football
For the Eagles: It’s been incredible watching the team and city rally around Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni. Philadelphia eats, sleeps and breaths football. And for me, an Eagles fan who has never been to Philly, it’s made rooting for this team so much fun. From Hurts to Sirianni to Jonathan Gannon (gulp) to even the 53rd guy on the roster, they’re just so likeable. They have the feel, and it’s made my Sunday’s that much better knowing I can watch them.

Best fan moment of the year

I’ve been an Eagles fan for 20 years and got to step foot in Lincoln Financial Field for the first time in my life. The goosebumps covered my body and I found myself in awe from the moment I stepped into the stadium (11:30am) to when I left after a dominating victory over the Steelers. It was, without question, one of the coolest days of my life.

How this fandom is changing sports

It’s taught people that the underdog has a fighting chance. For the Eagles, that was Nick Foles, stepping in for Carson Wentz in 2017, and defying all odds to lead Philadelphia to its first Super Bowl. It’s Jalen Hurts, who doesn’t fit the traditional prototype at QB, leading them to the best start in franchise history. It’s Patrick Robinson, an afterthought signing at cornerback, who had a pick-six in the NFC Championship Game in 2017 that will go down as one of the best plays in franchise history. There are so many more. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you look like, or what your story is. The Eagles, to me, have taught me that anyone has a chance – no matter what circumstance they may be in. And I love it.
