Blue Beetle

SEE ALL Movies
Look, I think we can all admit that 2023 was not a good year for DC superhero movies. However, there was one light that shined brightly amid the crowd — Blue Beetle. Blue Beetle was a blast to watch from start to finish, delivering everything we've come to expect from superhero movies with plenty of incredible action sequences and amazing comic moments to balance out the action. What sets Blue Beetle apart from the rest of the crowd, though, is its heart. It wasn't just about the heroics; it was about family. Jaime Reyes, our Blue Beetle, was an authentic and relatable character. Seeing him and his family on screen just felt so genuine and gave us some of our best moments as the bond with Jamie and his family was where the movie truly shined. Blue Beetle wasn't just an incredible superhero movie, but it also marked a significant step forward in becoming the first superhero movie to feature a Latino superhero and starring ensemble and to hail from a Lation director. Blue Beetle isn't just a superhero; he's an inspiration to us all, reminding us that family, culture, and community are values worth fighting for.
