Karol G released her latest album on Feb. 24, Mañana Será Más Bonito which translates to “tomorrow will be a better day” She made history on the album charts as the first all-Spanish-language record by a female artist to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Karol G and Shakira also took home one of the most coveted awards at the MTV VMAs this year. The two Colombian stars received the VMA for Best Collaboration for “TQG“, taking the stage during an emotional moment, sharing how proud they are of representing their home country and making the audience go crazy. “TQG“ debuted at No. 7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart dated Mar. 11, 2023, becoming Karol G's first and Shakira's sixth top-10 entry on the chart.

Karol G also broke records by releasing a second album after Mañana Será Bonito and dropped Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season). We needed a Bichota Season this year because she pushes the boundaries of what women can do and will do. As if we needed more Colombian star power, Shakira joins in on the female empowerment movement with a song titled “TQG“, which translates to something like “We were too much for you to handle” a reference to their previous relationships. The songs were empowering and the message behind it all was that tomorrow will be a better day. That message can resonate with anyone in any given year.

Karol G made history by becoming the first Latin artist to sell out two consecutive nights of her Mañana Será Bonito Tour at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. The definition is living out your dreams by always believing in yourself and believing that better days are coming. Her tour this year showed a wave of positivity and empowerment unlike anything ever seen before. She has opened doors for other women in her genre and she is an inspiration to the younger generation that want to pursue their dreams as well.
