The Scream franchise returned in early 2023 with one of the best movies in the series, Scream VI. Taking place one year after the events of Scream (2022), sisters Sam and Tara have relocated with their friends to New York City for college, but that doesn't mean Ghostface is gone. Unlike other horror franchises, the new movie proves there's still fresh life to breathe into Scream, which was an amazing feeling for the fandom.

How this fandom is changing entertainment
In a world of reboots, remakes, sequels, prequels, and sidequels, Scream is one of the only horror franchises still going on that’s still good. Poking fun at the current state of the entertainment industry and the horror genre, the franchise doesn’t shy away from hilarious social commentary. The fact that Scream VI was so well-received proves people want more self-awareness and satire in the genre.
Why you should join this fandom
Horror fans are incredibly passionate and the same goes for the Scream fandom. We’ve remained dedicated to the franchise since some of us were old enough to watch R-rated movies, and we had a great time watching (and rewatching) Scream VI this year.
