Why we needed this fandom this year
It might be a stretch to call any of the hilariously terrible members of the Righteous Gemstones “redeemed“ at the end of season 3. But it's always worth reminding yourself that even the most selfish, narcissistic, craven, debauched, and arrogant of us are still deserving of love and capable of sharing it. We all contain multitudes.

Sturgill Simpson's small supporting role in the show grew week to week and his acapella version of All the Gold in California was a stunningly unexpected treat that transcended the silliness of the show.
