It may be an up-and-down year for the Washington State Cougars, but people won’t forget about the amazing four-game winning streak to start the season. Things were highlighted by two massive upset wins over the Wisconsin Badgers and Oregon State Beavers. Quarterback Cam Ward was a total stud during the first stretch of contests.

Best fan moment of the year

It had to be the win over Wisconsin during Week 2. In that game, the Badgers were expected to leave Pullman with a convincing win, but Ward tossed for two touchdowns to lead the way for Wazzu. Shortly after the final whistle, head coach Jake Dickert gave a passionate speech about how proud he was of his young men. It reminded fans of how much the program means to the city.

Why we needed this fandom this year

When it was announced that the Pac-12 was falling apart, Cougar fans were heartbroken. To this day, the future of WSU football is up in the air. Despite that, the team started the year off 4-0 with the wins over Wisconsin and Oregon State sending a major message. It also provided fans with hope, something they desperately needed due to the drama surrounding the conference.
