Atlanta Falcons

SEE ALL Football
It has been a painfully long time since the Atlanta Falcons held up their end of the bargain in the Metro Atlanta sports scene. Now blessed with a familiar face at head coach in Raheem Morris and the perfect free-agent signing for them at quarterback in Kirk Cousins, the Dirty Birds are soaring high for the first time in nearly a decade. This team is so fun to watch and the city is buying in once again.

Why we needed this fandom this year

For as frustrating as the Atlanta Braves' season was, and as polarizing as Georgia football has been, the State and the City of Atlanta needed a team it could rally around. It is a rich and diverse cultural city. The people who are on this team, as well as the people who root for them on NFL Sundays all come from different backgrounds. This team represents my hometown well.

Why you should join this fandom

For all the people who have left the Falcons' bandwagon in recent years, you are more than welcome to come back and be a part of this. If you do not have a favorite NFL team anymore, I would suggest rooting for an ascending one. This is a team with an explosive and exciting offense that also plays compelling bend-but-don't-break defense. They are not a media darling yet but very easy to root for.
