Baseball card collecting goes back almost as far as the sport of baseball itself and has entrenched itself as a part of its history. From the early Honus Wagner cards selling for over a million dollars to iconic Mickey Mantle cards to modern rookie card chases for today’s young stars, collecting continues to appeal to fans of multiple generations. Serious collectors, team fanatics and casual fans alike are all brought together by the latest releases from Topps as well as appreciating vintage cards in a celebration of the heritage of baseball.

What we’ll remember about this fandom a decade from now
The best thing about collecting cards is that they age extremely well. Rookie cards of guys like Ronald Acuna Jr., Juan Soto, and Shohei Ohtani are already reaching lofty heights and even more so for the all-time greats of the game. More than the financial value, though, is that collecting cards is a time capsule for who and what mattered to us the most with our fandoms at a given point in time. That memory is something we can tangibly carry with us for years.
Why you should join this fandom
There is a misconception that to truly appreciate card collecting, you have to spend a ton of money on the cards themselves as well as on luxuries like grading. The truth is that collecting can be fun for anyone with any budget and can be a lot of fun, especially for those who have a favorite player who is a bit lesser known. Whether you have $5 extra to spend a month or $5,000, there is a place for you to enjoy the hobby and find others like you who collect the same way.
