How this fandom is changing entertainment

Alex’s ability to close deals has set new records for the industry and for women. Podcasting has become a very saturated market and very few are successful. Call Her Daddy was launched in 2018 and signed to a network a month after launching. Spotify offered a $60 million dollar deal for Call Her Daddy to move to their platform, which was the highest for a woman at the time. This year, Alex has been able to launch her own production company, sign other podcasts to join her, and sign an even bigger deal with SiriusXM. She’s opening doors for female entertainment creators and we all love to see it.

What emotion defined this fandom this year?

Empowerment. That is the emotion that this fandom brought this year. It was empowering to see Call Her Daddy go from where it was in 2018 to how where Alex has brought it in 2024. She took it to Paris! Call Her Daddy at the Olympics. It was empowering to see a woman dominate the podcast industry in this way.
