Son Heung-min

Having already reached legendary status for South Korea and Tottenham Hotspur, Heung-Min Son spent 2024 adding several new milestones to his sparkling resume. The South Korean captain began the year by leading his national team to the AFC Asian Cup semifinals before becoming Tottenham's fourth-highest goal scorer of all time and the club's 14th player since 1908 to make 400 appearances. “Sonny“ plays with a smile on his face, leads by example and lifts everyone around him. It's time to show him some love.

Best fan moment of the year

You can count on Son to step up in key moments, which he did on March 30 to save Spurs from an embarrassing home defeat to Luton. Not only did he score the winner in the 86th minute, but it was his 160th career goal for Tottenham, solidifying his spot in the top five of the team's all-time goal-scorer rankings.

Why we needed this fandom this year

Tottenham fans haven't had much to celebrate in recent years, especially after losing all-world striker Harry Kane. The one constant throughout all the change? Heung-min Son. He stepped up as Tottenham's new captain, showing the leadership and loyalty that is rare in today's game. No matter which team you follow, it's impossible not to love “Sonny,“ who is a genius on the field and an incredible person off of it.
