How will Andrew Wiggins be remembered as an NBA player? A top pick who was an inefficient scorer on his first stop, an All-Star and vital two-way wing on a championship team in his second stop, and now he heads to his third team, the main component of a return package for a disgruntled star.

It’s a complicated legacy for Wiggins, but the highs were higher than most other NBA players can claim from their careers. And who knows, maybe Wiggins is about to enter another positive era, this time in sunny South Beach. Partnered with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo under Erik Spoelstra’s watchful eye, Wiggins’ role in Miami will probably be similar to what it was in The Bay, perhaps with a little more scoring responsibility.
Wiggins isn’t the elite scorer that other wings of his ilk are, but he can create for himself pretty reliably, hit 3-pointers well above a league-average rate and muck things up on the defense. He didn’t become LeBron James like he was expected to, but he’s put together a fruitful career nonetheless.
