Portland’s rebuild is unique; the Blazers front office has built a competent roster of rotation players, but it’s missing a star. So whether Anfernee Simons remains in the PNW for years to come or takes his talents elsewhere in coming years, he’s going to bring with him a creative, crafty offense game and a barrage of buckets.

Trained under the tutelage of Damian Lillard, you’ll often see a flash of Simons’ mentor in his game. A side-step 3-pointer, a pump-fake and a drive leading to a smooth reverse finish, the occasional monster dunk to get Portlanders on their feet. His facilitation chops still need some refining, but Ant’s scoring tool belt has plenty of tools as is.
What Simons’ role would be on a competitive team remains a bit of a mystery, but his natural scoring instincts could translate anywhere. An Anfernee Simons heater is great television.
