If it feels like Anthony Edwards is adding something to his repertoire every season, that’s because he is. Last year, constant aggression resulted in career-high field goal percentage and nightly free throw output. Suddenly, we’re seeing a new approach and eagerness to let it fly from downtown, and it’s translated to a breakout effort from beyond the arc.

Edwards is taking and making 3s at a lofty clip. Defenders continue to go under screens against him, though it’s proving futile. But foes are taking this approach out of fear for his jump-out-the-gym athleticism, pure strength and improved playmaking. Additionally, Edwards’ physical tools translate to the defensive end of the floor, enabling him to maximize his two-way competence. Despite being slightly undersized compared to the forwards he often guards, the Timberwolves star has the speed and stocky frame to overcome the height deficiency.

An exuberant individual with a play style to match, Edwards is a budding superstar and face of the league. He has a combination of flair/swagger and eye-opening talent that radiates excitement.
