What a weird season for White. After winning Most Improved last season, White lost his way when Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball returned to the lineup and the team needed to see what exactly they had with the veterans.

White also struggled with the hyper-efficient approach that Billy Donovan took to the early season in terms of shot selection. White needs to be able to use the entire floor, mid-range included, to get to his spots.

I’m skeptical of White’s long-term value. He’s a gifted scorer and passer but needs the ball in his hands to be everything he can be while also not being so otherworldly efficient to make that viable. Still, he’s improving year by year, and his big-game potential means he’ll help the Bulls win games when they want to and still have trade value down the line.
