De’Aaron Fox was Sacramento, so it’ll take some time to adjust to seeing the longtime Kings point guard in black and silver in San Antonio. Now half of a promising tandem with Victor Wembanyama, Fox is starting a new chapter of a career that has found its level consistently among the league’s best.

His propensity for clutch-time magic, his unrivaled pure speed and — as of recently — his tenacity as a guard stopper, all make Fox one of the easiest players to watch in the NBA. It’s hard not to get giddy when he breaks into the open court or starts cooking late in games.
Theoretically, a healthy Spurs team with Fox, Victor Wembanyama and another cornerstone piece (which San Antonio might be able to acquire in this year’s draft) could do some damage in the West. Until then, we’ll have to settle for watching Fox blaze a new trail in Texas … but that sounds pretty fun, too.
