As the self-proclaimed “greatest big man shooter“ in NBA history, Karl-Anthony Towns continues to live up to the moniker. His skill set has carried over to New York after a sudden offseason blockbuster trade re-routed him to the Big Apple.

Despite being a rather large human being, Towns is more than a stationary shooter — he's arguably the best spot-up marksman in the business. Moreover, his catch-and-shoot prowess is uncanny, especially for a 7-footer. The big man is a legitimate sniper from beyond the arc who can move around the perimeter and has logo range. Opponents must always respect him from long distance. And when they do, KAT can put the ball on the floor and attack closeouts, a rare trait for someone of his stature.

Once Towns gets going and commands extra defensive attention, he’s proven to be a willing and able passer. His underrated playmaking chops get overlooked, but the Knicks’ franchise big man has the stellar court vision and creativity to operate as an offensive hub. But for all his strengths as a scoring engine, KAT isn’t the lockdown defensive rim protector many projected him to be coming into the league. However, he makes up for that nightly with consistent aggression on the glass, gobbling up seemingly every rebound within reach.
