Beasley led the league in 3-point makes this season and was a serious candidate for Sixth Man of the Year on a team that finished in the top-six of the playoffs. He showed he can bring a huge scoring punch off the bench and be a guy you can rely on in big games for the first time in his career.

The Pistons’ defense was 1.6 points better with Beasley on-court this season than off. And while he was miscast in Milwaukee as a defensive stopper, when he’s the third or fourth guy behind Ausar Thompson and Cade Cunningham, he can manage his assignment at a high level.
Beasley has bounced around for years and dealt with attitude questions. Maybe Detroit is somewhere he can settle into being an established veteran, whose comfortable in his life as he enters his late 20s.
