Pritchard is almost certainly going to win Sixth Man of the Year and for good reason. He’s a crack shooter on a team whose entire identity is built on 3-point shooting. His efficiency on catch-and-shoot is absurd; of the 81 players averaging 4 such attempts per game, Pritchard was second in points per possession this season, behind only Kevin Durant.

But he’s more than that. Pritchard consistently makes winning plays like offensive rebounds off Celtics 3-point attempts and quick slings to open shooters. He’s a low-mistake player on a team that relies on not making mistakes and hitting 3s.
It still baffles me that teams don’t run more off-ball sequences to punish his lack of size and athleticism, but Pritchard also compensates with his high effort and IQ. He’s part of a championship formula in Boston and worthy of making the 99.
