Offensive Role: Slashing Wing
Defensive Role: POA Wing
Alysha Clark is one of the top 35 players in the WNBA because of her ability to space the floor with her shooting, her defensive prowess and her flexibility as an offensive option. She has captured three championships due to her skill set. Clark can guard positions 1 through 4, is a defensive anchor and constantly communicates with her teammates on where to be. She was cut her first two seasons but went on to make the Seattle Storm roster in 2012 and did not look back. Her career average from deep is 38.3 percent and her lowest shooting percentage was in her third season. No matter who she plays with, she has a knack for finding the open space and moving without the basketball.

Why you should be paying attention in 2025

People should pay attention to Clark in 2025 because she is a free agent and will have another chance to be the glue to a contending team. She is a wing who continues to be in the right place at the right time and impact the game on both sides of the floor in 2025. She played for the Aces last season and could re-sign or more to another contender chasing a ring.

Taking the next step

Clark is reaching the end of her career and she could retire within the next few years. There isn’t much she needs to improve on but she could be more aggressive with taking shots. Often, the three-time champion is passive and doesn’t take the open shot which makes sense when someone else has the hot hand. Her role has shrunk as she ages but she’s still one of the better role players in the league and needs to stay aggressive offensively when she’s on the floor.
