Courtney Williams may not be a traditional point guard, but she thrived as the Lynx’s lead playmaker in her first season in Minnesota. She was a steady presence all year long, dishing out the second-most assists per game of her career, reliably sinking her signature mid-range shots, and providing great energy.

Courtney Williams is the perfect example of a player who does whatever their team needs from them. Williams contributed to the Lynx’s success in pretty much every way possible. She averaged 11.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. In the playoffs, she was the Lynx’s third-leading scorer and led the league in total assists.
Williams looked great in her first season with the Lynx. Expect her to be even better in her second year in Minnesota and continue to grow alongside her teammates, especially as a playmaker. Furthermore, Williams will be a huge part of the Lynx’s revenge tour after they narrowly lost in the 2024 WNBA Finals. Williams has been on two deep playoff runs — once with the Sun in 2022 and then with the Lynx in 2024 — but hasn’t won a title yet. She will be eager to take her game and team to the next level in 2025 to rectify that.
