Napheesa Collier is easily one of the top players in the WNBA right now. She is a great two-way player, as evidenced by her 2024 Defensive Player of the Year award and the fact that she ranked second in MVP voting behind A’ja Wilson. Collier had a busy offseason, launching a new women’s basketball league and then also playing in it, but looks ready for a big 2025 season with the Minnesota Lynx.

The biggest accomplishment of Collier’s 2024 WNBA season was undoubtedly edging out A’ja Wilson for the Defensive Player of the Year award. On top of that, she was also in the running for MVP. Individual success is not everything in the WNBA, though. Collier also accomplished plenty with her team. She led the Minnesota Lynx to their first finals appearance since 2017. While the Lynx did not win the 2024 WNBA championship, Collier had a great playoff run, leading the league in total points scored, rebounds, blocks, and steals.

Napheesa Collier will undoubtedly be one of the most fun players to watch during the 2025 season. After a great Unrivaled season that saw Collier win the 1-on-1 tournament as well as the league’s inaugural MVP award, the Lynx star is ready to put together another great WNBA season. She should not only be one of the top contenders for the MVP and DPOY awards, but will also try to lead the Lynx on a revenge tour and secure the 2025 WNBA championship.
