Natasha Cloud is a WNBA champion (2019) and still has plenty of basketball left in the tank. Every year, the Saint Joseph’s product improves an aspect of her game whether it’s her 3-point percentage, her defense or her assists per game. Why they're totally unique
Cloud is a unique player because of her ability to impact the game in so many facets. She can guard positions one through three and still keep her legs under her in order to score. The 5-foot-10 guard’s court vision is elite and she can push the pace in the fast break or she can slow it down in the half-court. She is a combo guard who can truly switch between passing first or scoring at will.
Although the Mercury were knocked out in the first round, Cloud was able to rally the troops to get back in the postseason. During game one of the postseason, the team was down double digits and came back with a vengeance. Cloud’s championship pedigree helped her lead this team. Her energy is contagious and she is a player that you want to compete against and with.
Taking the next step
The Mercury guard comes back each year with something new in the arsenal. However, she will need to look to score more for Phoenix. Diana Taurasi may or may not be returning but the team will need more scoring and shooting to have a chance to win. Cloud can play on or off the ball but she tends to look out for her teammates first which can deter her from creating her own offense.
