After a rocky few years to start her WNBA career, Sabrina Ionescu has finally morphed into the player we expected her to become — shooting the lights out with ice in her veins, not afraid of any moment. Her buzzer-beater shots during the WNBA Finals last season electrified fans, and she was rewarded with her first championship in 2024.

One thing that has helped Ionescu thrive in recent seasons is the addition of a primary point guard on the Liberty roster — first, Courtney Vandersloot, now Natasha Cloud. Ionescu plays better when she has the freedom to operate off-ball. She still plays well on-ball, and does it often, but is not restricted to that.

Ionescu is growing into an experienced and reliable All-Star-level player. Her shooting numbers were a little all over the place last season, but if she carries the playoff momentum she had into this season, she will be just fine.
