Ross Pearson Suffered Broken Foot Before TKO of Ryan Couture at UFC on FUEL TV 9

British lightweight Ross Pearson spoiled Ryan Couture’s UFC debut at UFC on FUEL TV 9 in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday night when “The Real Deal” overwhelmed the son of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture and finished the fight by TKO in the second-round.

While Pearson was impressive in the octagon, there was some concern about how a pre-fight injury would affect his performance in the cage.

When Pearson was warming up, he kicked the pads in the locker room, but his foot caught the elbow of his coach Eric Del Fierro and Pearson knew something was wrong. It turned out that Pearson broke his foot, but he wasn’t going to let anything stop him from walking to the cage in the night’s co-main event.

As it turned out for Pearson, it was a good decision to make that march out to the cage — bum foot and all.
