While the Boston community was on lock down and sports around the nation were going on as normal as possible, the UFC was preparing their weigh-ins for this weekend’s UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins in San Jose, California.
UFC president Dana White, who has strong ties to the Boston area, showed off his support for the community during the weigh-ins while wearing a shirt that read, “Boston Strong” as his fighters hit the scale.
White hasn’t always been in the public for the right things, but this was a brilliant and heartfelt move on his behalf.

Great gesture by White.
He has always been tied in to his Boston roots, and it is great to see him showing unity and support for the community that is in mourning. White may have said some troubling things in the past, but this is a great move on his part and will certainly help his public image.
